ACTION ITEMS
JIP
- Inter-exchange carriers need the JIP to be able to differentiate between carriers when
long distance is billed separately from local service. The JIP identifies the originating
switch for recording and billing of the end user or the carrier if the carrier is
reselling.
- The WNPSC will develop a liaison letter to wireless standard groups T1S1.6, TR45.2 and
T1P1.5 indicating the wireless requirement for JIP in an LNP environment.
Inter-carrier Communications
- CTIA is sponsoring an industry wide Forum on Feb 24 and 25 in Kansas City.
- The Forum will serve to address comments about the report and gain endorsement for
uniform implementation of the recommendation. The Forum is targeting Business Design and
IT personnel familiar with the Wireless Number Portability mandates and associated
deadlines.
Inter-carrier Test Plan
- The Test Plan SWG conference calls are on February 3rd and 21st.
The next face-to-face meeting is February 29th March 1st to
complete the test scripts.
- Request that the LNPAWG review and comment on the draft test plan template
- Ask for nominations to replace the co chair
Wireless Number Portability Report to NANC
- Section assignments should be completed and submitted to Anne Cummins, report editor, by
February 21, 2000 for review at the March meeting
