The Test Plan Overview was rescheduled for the October meeting at the LNPAWG.
The majority of the meeting was spent reviewing the WNPSC presentation to the NANC and discussing edits to the report. Based upon initial feedback from CTIA and other participants, edits for clarification were discussed. As a result of that discussion, it was agreed that certain edits would be presented in the WNPSC presentation to the NANC. This included edits to Sections 1, 3 and 4, a new disclaimer in Section 8, and the addition of Appendix I ~ WorldCom Minority Opinion on Wireless Resale. Refer to the WNPSC presentation on the Wireless Number Portability (WNP) Technical, Operational, and Implementation Requirements Phase II report presented to the NANC on September 20, 2000.
A letter was sent to the LLCs requesting an extension of NPAC hours of operation until 9:00 PM Central and the addition of Saturday.
The original wireless demand model was distributed and discussed. It was acknowledged that these projections were over a year old and better data and assumptions are now available.
ACTION ITEM: The WNPSC will develop a new forecast of wireless demand at the October meeting for input into Exhibit N.
To facilitate awareness and knowledge of WNP requirements and the Wireless Industry Timeline, the WNP experts will seek to identify key WNP conferences attended by wireless service providers. In particular, to help roaming partners understand the Non-Porting requirements, members of the WNPSC will try to get on the schedule of roamer user group meetings.
6. Updates
Neustar notification request
The notification request to be included in the Neustar September and November Portability publication was finalized. Neustar will mail this to all wireless service providers on the NPAC industry billing list.
OBF
To accommodate wireline to wireless ports, two new issues will be submitted to OBF. One issue addresses the use of operator services for third party and credit card billing. Another issue addresses the differences in directory listing services between wireless and wireline. There was also further discussion regarding the National Repository Line Level Database (NRLLD) RFI. Responses are due in October. This issue will be addressed at the November OBF72 meeting.
