Dear Presidents and Chairpersons,

On June 10, 1999, the LNPA WG sent a letter to the LLCs via email
proposing a new 2 Release/2 SOW release management plan. On July 23, we
followed that letter by providing the LLCs with our proposed change
management process flows and narratives. We failed to mention in these
letters that he LNPA WG is looking for comments/questions and ultimately
LLC approval of this new plan.

The LNPA WG has also received correspondence from an LLC expressing
interest in participation in the change order prioritization process. The
LNPA WG welcomes this participation. We decided in today's meeting that we
will begin prioritization of change orders next month in our September
meeting. The meeting will be held in Chicago, September 14 - 16. Change
management will start at 8:30 on Wednesday, September 15. The group agreed
to allocate a full day and a half to this endeavor.

We do feel that this will be a two to three month process with the
goal of requirements development in November. This will fit nicely into
our current release management plan.
